To San Francisco it goes
Recently I sent off two of my pieces to rad gal in San Francisco, and in the box I tucked in a little card which doubles as a tag/wall hanging.
This originally was a piece I did maybe six months ago, and for some reason decided I hated it and stashed at away in the mountain of cast-offs in my room. It ended up in the recycling bin when I cleaned out said mountain in room, but was rescued by Alexa without my knowing. I was sitting on the couch one day recently and saw it peeking out at me from behind a bunch of stuff on a shelf. After forgetting about it for so long, I looked at it with new eyes and loved it. I knew I would probably never display it and decided it would make a great addition to the box I was sending out, so I cut it out and added some twine to be hung up.
And that's the long story of this little wall hanging. More soon!

Bear chase for Alana
Trading is quickly becoming one of my favorite ways of giving and receiving goods. So far I've traded my own work for other artwork, tattoo work, and now jewelry. My friend Alana Douvros from my CCA days is a jewelry designer and an incredible one at that. Take a look at her amazing collection here and have a gander at my piece for her below:
This piece is also a departure for me, because I used a background. I like it...mostly. It's so different from what I usually do so the change is a bit scary. Hope Alana likes it!
